Inaugural Trade Show and Conference for the Legalized Marijuana Industry to Take Place Oct. 4-6, at the Hynes Convention Center
(Paramus, September 2017)—Multi-platinum Grammy nominated Hip-Hop star, Money B, of the iconic band Digital Underground, will be speaking at the Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition (CWCBExpo), making its debut Oct. 4-6 at the Hynes Convention Center. Money B will talk about the influence cannabis has had in Hip Hop and it’s impact in the urban population. “Celebrity Licensing and Branding in the Cannabis Industry: What You Need to Know;” will take place on Thursday, Oct. 5th at 4:30 p.m.
As a founding member Digital Underground, Money B is noted as having one of the most recognizable voices in Hip-Hop. Digital Underground is also known for launching the career of Tupac Shakur, as well as spinning off side projects and solo acts including Raw Fusion, Saafir, and singer Mystic. In 2016 Money B was cast to play himself in the Tupac Shakur bio pic “All Eyez on Me,” directed by Benny Boom.
The presentation “Celebrity Licensing and Branding in the Cannabis Industry: What You Need to Know,” led by Andrew Pitsicalis, Purple Haze Properties, will discuss the established celebrity brand cannabis endorsements of Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Willie Nelson, Tommy Chong and Snoop Dogg and their influence on consumer purchasing behavior. The unique set of challenges and considerations that must be taken into account in order to get the most from a potential partnership and licensing with celebrities and music stars will also be examined. Attendees will learn about the strategy of working with all types of celebrities and identify the ways to determine the best celebrity partner for their brands and how to maximize the relationship.
